Studio Ren was born out of my love for sourcing natural textiles and a commitment to fostering a kinder, more mindful approach to fashion. From the outset, the goal has been to craft clothing thoughtfully by small-batch production, using only natural fibre fabrics. Becoming a mother to two daughters has deepened my dedication to slow fashion and strengthened my resolve to build a socially and environmentally responsible business.

Fabrics & Manufacturing

We largely use handloom-woven fabrics that are organic, indigenous, and dyed with natural pigments or low-impact dyes. Occasionally, we adorn our pieces with hand embroidery, embracing the artistry of traditional techniques. Each garment carries subtle variations and minor imperfections that celebrate the human involvement in the process.

We are proud to collaborate with a woman-owned social enterprise in South India, which prioritises the employment and training of women from marginalised communities. By providing dual-income opportunities, they empower women to enhance their skills, achieve personal goals, and support their families, fostering growth and independence for the next generation.

A fraction of our manufacturing takes place here in the UK, where we collaborate with a woman-owned and run boutique studio in Cornwall.
